Proposals are invited from practicing artists, writers and musicians whose work explores intersections between science and the arts. Interface offers artists an opportunity to engage with a unique environment and to be inspired by the exciting research taking place in a spectacular landscape.
We are delighted to announce the following open calls for artist residencies.
- Any artists from Ireland or abroad for a 4 week residency for 2026/2027, supported by the Arts Council
- Galway County and Galway City based artists to apply for a 2 week residency at Interface, supported by Galway County Council and Galway City Council. These residencies will take place in May and June 2025.
- Residency for 1 artist based in a Gaeltacht area for a 2 week residency supported by Ealaín na Gaeltachta. This residency will take place in Autumn/Winter 2025
How to apply: Send one pdf including your proposal, CV, artist’s statement and six samples of recent work or links to work and a letter of reference to interfaceinagh@gmail.com. Please put which residency you are applying for in the email subject line i.e ‘Residency 2026/2027, Galway County 2025 etc.
Deadlines for Application: Feb 13th 2025
What we offer: Access to a studio space and accommodation and a stipend. Artists will be responsible for their own food, materials and travel costs.
Please note: A driver’s license and a car are essential for this residency for which the artist is entirely responsible.
