A collage workshop at Interface, where participants work with curated materials and receive guidance to create their own original collages.

The artist Anthony D Kelly frequently intermingles collage and literary techniques as a way to cross-pollinate inspiration and foster greater creative momentum and flow. The "changing of creative channels" in this way can help plant the seeds for further projects and inspire unexpected directions for creative inquiry.

This 3 hour workshop will begin with the intuitive selection of a prompt word, followed by a short guided visualization that will aid participants in connecting with the rich field of associations, images and potential that can spring from a single word.
From this reflective starting point, Anthony will invite participants to write a short reflective passage to solidify their experiences. He will then lead a hands-on collage session using carefully selected materials, offering gentle guidance on technique and composition as participants develop their work toward a finished piece.
Participants will finish this workshop with new collage techniques, have engaged in a rich sharing of ideas and meaning, and will have direct experience of a technique which can help foster new ideas and create forward momentum even in times of stuckness."

Participants are welcome to bring a notebook, though this is entirely optional — all other materials will be provided.

Participants are advised to dress warmly and bring their own food and drinking water. Tea and Coffee will be provided.
