Tá ann áthas orainn beirt ealaiontóir a óstail le tacaíocht mhaoiniú Ealain na Gaeltacht i mbliana: Caitríona Lane agus Blaithín Mac Donnell.
Is file agus scríbhneoir dátheangach í Caitríona Lane. Tá cónaí uirthi i gConamara áit a fhaigheann sí inspioráid chun dul i mbun pinn ón saol nádúrtha agus osnádúrtha timpeall a tí. Dar léi is teanga ann féin an tírdhreach. Feictear di gurb í teanga ársa na nGael teanga tírdhreach an iarthair. Tá sé mar aidhm aici guth a thabhairt don tírdhreach ar áitreabh Interface Inagh, i gCluain na Ceártan, ag tochailt go fileata i dtobar na teanga chun tonnta fuaime na háite a nochtadh i bhfoirm filíochta.
Through narrative based works Bláithín Mac Donnell is interested in bringing tactility to seemingly abstract events in particular in relation to the Internet and ecology. Through weaving fictional, factual, personal and global narratives her performative work explores the entanglement between rural and digital infrastructures. Bláithín draws on the tradition of the seanchaí to create a contemporary form of spoken narrative in which gestures are performed and the story told becomes haptic and vivid in the space of the audience.
For her residency at Interface, Bláithín has been developing a new performance using materials gathered on her walks through the Connemara landscape. These materials not only inform the content of the spoken narrative but will be used as performative objects acting as placeholders for gestures.

Aithníonn an eagraíocht an chabhair mhór a thug tacaíocht airgeadais Údarás na Gaeltachta agus An Chomhairle Ealaín trí Ealaín na Gaeltachta, chun an togra seo a chur ar bun.
