Laney Mannion is a multidisciplinary artist based in Connemara, she completed a BA of Fine Art, specialising in Printmaking in 2018 (GMIT).
Graduating with a Masters of Social Practice and the Creative Environment in 2019. (LSAD)
Using mediums such as print, sound, sculpture and performance, she creates interactive and immersive art works.
Her work and research has centred around the complexities of Language in Irish politics around contemporary Irish culture, with a strong emphasis on myth, magic and folklore, these ethnographic studies of people and place are almost always dealt with a satirical eye.
