Jo Kimmins

Jo Kimmins is a lens-based artist crossing the divide between documentary and fine art photography, currently living in County Wexford.
In 2018 Jo Kimmins received an MA with Distinction in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography with University of the Arts, London College of Communication.
In 2022 she held the solo show ‘Aquacious’ at Ards Art Centre, Newtownards, Northern Ireland. In 2021 Jo was part of ‘Reliquary of Beasts’ a Four Person Show at the 126 Artist Run Gallery as part of the Galway International Arts Festival, Galway European City of Culture. In 2020 she was awarded both the Emerging Artist Artlinks Bursary Award and the Covid 19 Response Award. In 2019 Jo exhibited in the 3-person show ‘Re-IMAGINE’ at Luan Gallery, Athlone, ‘ARTWORKS 2019’ The Carlow Arts Festival and VISUAL Carlow Annual Open Submission Show, ‘For Earth’s Sake’, Inspire Galerie Dublin, ‘Half-tone Print Fair’ Photo Ireland, Temple Bar Dublin and ‘Platform for Emerging Art 22’ Leyden Gallery, London. 2018 was the UAL. ‘Elephants in the Room’ Graduation Show, London College of Communication and the ‘2018 Summer Group Show’ Market House Gallery, Dungarvan, County Waterford. Jo’s publication ‘Cetacean’ was exhibited at the ‘Off Print’ Art Publishing Fair, Turbine Hall, Tate Modern.
