Adrienne Finnerty

Adrienne M Finnerty’s work is strikingly individualistic, rich in colour, texture and form evoking deep emotion. Her painting style is intuitive, abstract, process orientated and informed by her positive outlook on life. Adrienne aspires to create uplifting works of joy which enrich both the eye and the soul.
Adrienne’s artistic journey is quite eclectic, initially studying both Graphic and Textile Design then taking a tangent into Early Years Arts, Energy Therapies and Clinical Hypnotherapy. Adrienne also trained and worked as a Dental Hygienist and as a teacher of Movement, Sound and Colour Therapy running workshops for many years.
Today Adrienne devotes her time to painting. Currently living in Spiddal in the West of Ireland she works daily in her Eden Cottage Studio on the Wild Atlantic Way. Inspired by nature, the sea and the rugged beauty of the Connemara landscape previous work has been informed by her great love of travel and includes her African, Indian, Brazilian and Vietnamese bodies of work.
Adrienne’s work is held in many private and public collections. She has exhibited extensively for the past 20 years both nationally and internationally recently showing in Paris, USA, Athens, Italy and Germany with upcoming group shows in India and Australia.
