Dolores Lyne

Dolores was born in Killarney, Co Kerry and after studying fine art in Waterford moved west to Galway. This change in location also led to a change of direction in her work. Prior to this her work was more figurative, the terrain altered both methods of making and seeing. Drawn to the coastal parts of Connemara and the offshore lslands, she has become more involved in the archaeological landscape, being an embedded artist working with the #inishlyonproject for four yearly digs off Inisbofin island. The latest work relates to the bronze age ritual planes of Raha and Oughterard. Public collections include OPW, Arts Council of Ireland, Bank Of Ireland, Irish Writers Museum, Galway City & County Collections, Tipperary county council & NUI Galway.
