Jane Williams graduated from Goldsmiths’ College, London with a degree in Fine art/ Textiles. Specialising in machine embroidery she created intricate lavishly-textured sculptures. She now works with watercolour on gesso wood panel to make richly-coloured intimate works of meditation . Jane writes of her visual art practice, ‘I see it as a journey to a quiet place where I can deeply connect with the natural world and be aware of the synergy that allows all life to live and breathe as one. Our challenge as humans is to see ourselves, not as separate from this collective force, but as part of it. My work is an act of devotion to this connection. Jane has exhibited in solo and group shows around Ireland and her work is in many private collections.
