Ciara Moore was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1966. She received her BFA in 2000 at the National College of Art & Design in Dublin and her MA in 2007, also at NCAD. Since 2015 Moore has lived and worked in Los Angeles, California. She currently lives and works in both Connemara and USA. Moore has exhibited in Ireland and abroad including shows in Canada, UK, Greece, Australia and California. Solo exhibition venues include Keystone Art Gallery, Los Angeles and Triskel Arts Centre, Cork. She was awarded artist’s residencies in Tasmania, Melbourne, Brazil and Crete. Moore’s multidisciplinary practice includes drawing, painting, photography, collage and sculpture. She makes large-scale drawings of recognizable yet hard-to-define forms where abstract , representational and interior worlds co-exist.
