Roberta Ceginskaite is a dance artist based in Galway. She trained in contemporary dance from Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, in Tilburg (The Netherlands). Since graduating, she has been researching and creating her work through various international residencies including a month-long creation in Kajaani (Finland), in Zurich (Switzerland), Budapest (Hungary), Luxembourg and Smederevo (Serbia). Back in Ireland, she has been supported through residencies and mentorship programmes from Dance Ireland, has secured residencies with Dance Ireland, Galway Dance Project and Dance Limerick. She is fascinated with cross disciplinary practices and collaboration within a frame of play and improvisation. She often works with sound artists, text and video. Roberta has recently completed her Master’s in Digital Art, Design and Cultures form University of Galway.
