Formally trained as a biologist, a primary theme that informs my practice is the intersection of the visual arts and the sciences.
Currently enrolled in a Master’s of Fine Art program at NCAD, the core of my current research is a creative engagement with archives. This involves the development of programmatic methodologies to generate free-form text and an embodied audio response as avenues to explore themes of disintegration, dissipation and the universal entropic processes that we strive to resist.
I am also interested in the overlap of this area of investigation with the role of oral tradition in transmitting folklore, and how mythologies mutate, evolve and fragment through time.
