Jennifer is a visual artist who works in a wide range of media. She specialises in a contemporary take on traditional subject matter with themes of nostaglia and memory. Her native Galway and her own childhood memories are source material for her work. Her practice includes paint, printmaking, drawing, model making, film, digital media, theatre, set design and performance.
Jennifer has won many awards for her work including the Thomas Damann Travel award and the Taylor art award. She exhibits both nationally and internationally with regular inclusion in curated shows like the R.H.A. Summer show. Solo shows include “Between Worlds” Baboro, Galway Arts Centre, ” After the Future” GIAF which received a five-star review in the Irish times and “All that surrounds us” Ashford Gallery, R.H.A Dublin, 2017. Group shows include the R.H.A summer show, from 2003- 2020. Jennifer regularly works to commission and was invited to design the poster for the Galway International Arts Festival 2020 which received an overwhelmingly positive response from the general public.
